What’s at stake is the vigorous independence of the fishing families and all the businesses that depend on them. Maine is Vacationland, unless it’s your home and livelihood.
Multinational corporations see coastal Maine as undeveloped territory. It isn’t clear to the legacy fishing families what their children will face.
